By the 19200s, in America, the game that we play today was introduced thanks to a man named Edwin Lowe at a travelling carnival just outside Atlanta. It was originally called Beano, due to the numbers being covered with dried beans. It0s is said that it was renamed due to an overexcited friend of Mr. Lowe’s inability to remember the word beano; instead calling out the word Bingo. The new name was born. The game of Bingo is played with a card that displays randomized numbers, usually in rows arranged under the individual letters of the word bingo. The numbers a drawn from a basket and read aloud, where as the players look for the corresponding number and covers it with a token, or black it out with a pen.
